Wanted - Translation help, almost any language

I know that most of this will remain in English and that I can do this through Google translate, but since we have people on here from all over the world I'd rather try to get a non-computer generated translation.

I'm looking for anything, what I'm talking about are used all over the world. Czech , Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Malay. I'm probably forgetting some:-)

So, if anyone wants to translate the below into their native language I'd be most grateful, you can post it, PM it, or email it to cs8815 at aol dot com. Thank you for your time. Here goes:

AC Services offers computers, parts, repair, services, and training for Nanoscope based atomic force microscopes. We also buy, sell and lease systems and parts.

Our specialty is Digital Instruments / Veeco / Bruker Dimension 3000 3100, 5000, MultiMode, Bioscope and Icon systems.

Your system is not obsolete here, we can help.

Contact us

(Not for translation- contact us isn't an order, that'll be a button:-)

Good for you seeking human translation as opposed to Google for something related to top level customer-facing web content. Google translate (and other MT systems) are great for gisting, but in the same way we giggle at Engrish, other people giggle at us too. Considering this language is associated with your Brand and has implications about the quality of your services, it's a good idea to do it right or don't do it at all.

Are looking for help with international SEO? Though I'm in the language business, I don't have much first hand experience (other than selling SEO translation to big companies) in how it works. But I'll posit an educated guess and an unsolicited opinion or two:

Most of your audience for these types of products will have very functional English skills. Many of the terms you have listed should stay in English (brand names, for example). If someone is using google.co.jp is searching for scientific instrument repair in Japanese, the results will be biased for websites in the .jp TLD. Most SEO is biased towards depth of content and links, not using meta tags.

Biggest issue: If I am searching for instrument repair in my native language, and by some luck your website shows up -- but is only in English -- then I'm not a good customer for you. Or, if you are listing this phrase repetitively on your website as a means to encourage non-English speakers to engage with your business, you are also implying that you will be able to serve them in another language.

Just a word of friendly caution from someone that has sold hundreds of millions of dollars of language services over a career.

Good luck!

Here you are the Spanish translation. I am not sure about the brand names on the last paragraph (is Digital Instruments a brand? if not is should be translated).

The last line is "Contact us". If you want "contact us at..." just replace by "Contacte con nosotros en..."

AC Services ofrece ordenadores, piezas, reparaciones, servicios y formación para microscopios atómicos tipo Nanoscope. También compramos, vendemos y alquilamos equipos completos y piezas.

Estamos especializados en Digital Instruments / Veeco / Bruker Dimension 3000 3100, 5000, MultiMode, Bioscope y sistemas Icon.

Podemos ayudarle a que su equipo no quede obsoleto.

Contacte con nosotros.

I can review you final version if you want when you put it online.

Hi Don and Paco -

Thank you both for the thoughtful replies. Don, I was going to do the whole thing in English, you are right, most users are at least somewhat proficient in English. What I was thinking was a series of flags on the home page with just this text and a contact us button.

Paco, that was just what I was after. Digital Instruments is a brand, that is perfect.

Simply register domains in those TLDs and point them to the same content on your webserver, use a serveralias directive in apache and off you go...

On the other hand, if this is the market you do want you can always put language preferences in job requirements when you hire, and there are conference call translation services available.... Make it easy for the Indians, Chinese, etc. to connect and work.
