Official Pelicans with Cars Thread...who have you met?

So I was just thinking, we have numerous threads dealing with girls with cars, celebrities with cars, unique and one of a kind cars, exotic cars, car crashes (RIP Paul Walker), barn finds, etc. and we also have many of our members posting pics of their beloved recent acquisitions, restorations, projects, daily drivers, and garage queens alike, whether Porsche or not ().

BUT .....I searched and couldn't find a thread dealing with pics of THE most important, unique, genuine, intelligent, humerous, wise, helpful and generally all-round nice guys and gals that exist here on earth WITH their cars!

SO LET'S DO THIS!....POST PICS OF PELICANS YOU'VE ACTUALLY MET AND HAD A BEER WITH ALONG WITH THEIR CARS!

I'll start:

I met JJ911SC over the holidays....err Christmas...when I visited my family in Ottawa / Aylmer:



We had a beer together at his place and, man, I thought I was a Porsche nut but JJ has me beat! His garage is all Porsche and he has quite the project going with his white 3.2L '83 SC slantnose cab!...very impressive! All his work is extremely well documented with pics in various binders...a great resource for future reference! You can tell that this is his pride and joy and so it should be!

Although our meeting was fairly brief, only one beer...., I am extremely grateful to JJ for taking some time over Christmas and going out of his way to drive over to my sister's place in DT Ottawa, pick me up, and head back to his place and then drive me back again after our beer together...an all round genuine nice guy and super Pelican!

No pics at this point, but I'll bet I've met over 200 pelicans around the World. EVERY SINGLE ONE was wonderful company. I've met them from Los Angeles, to Vancouver, BC, to London to Knoxville to Boston, to NYC, to Auckland, Toronto, Detroit area, Pennsylvania, Montreal, Quebec City, Portland, Texas, New Orleans, Chicago, Boston, Providence, RI, New Mexico, and a few other places I've forgot. All have been gracious and generous.

When I met Hugh and his son Chris, unfortunately it was not a good time of the year around here to drive my 94.

We could post pics of my Denali and Hugh's rental!

Anytime I travel in the future, I plan on following Hugh's lead and try to meet Pelicans.
The first time I did, it worked out well and had a great time.

Joe Bob. Sorry no pictures, NSA rules, just imagine having beers in a hot tub in Lancaster, Ca. Him wearing bunny ears and a Sig (at the side of the hot tub) and the girls attired in bikini's.

Met Trekkor (sp?) that trip too. Held his tire up while he and McMark adjusted his brakes at Streets of Willow.

Oh geez... Lets see how many I can remember!

I've met the illustrious OK guys GH85, Javadog, and a few that don't post much...

Took Groesbeck Hurricane to dinner back in November.

RedBeard and BRPorsche helped me move into my place in Houston. We had beers with David too one night.

I lived with 9dreizig for a month last summer, and am meeting him for dinner in about an hour. On another Reno trip I was pit crew to Todd and Trekkor at a 24hrs of LeMons race, and then helped trek load a 914 this summer.

Dueller picked me and a coworker up and took us to dinner at an awesome place in downtown Jackson.

I met Tweeze through here, and we are dating now...

I met JoeA, OJU, RickLee, and LeeH over the summer.

I bought schumis old project 924.

I've been to a few BHTM concerts and met Jeremy.

I've spoken on the phone with RickV and SloDave at various times.

Hoping to meet Noah930, Slodave, and Embraer this spring.

I've met a bunch as well, Redbeard, Joe A, Randy Cecale, Stomachmonkey to name a few. I also met Hardflex, MBATarga, Johnny Walker, Hardrive, Jeff Higgins, Ed Hughes, and TABS! I have had conversations on the phone with Seahawk and Moses, Skip D, and Jeff (can't remember his tag line). Had beers with Coolchick too...that was awhile ago. A long while ago...

I know I have met a bunch more as well, but it was awhile ago...sorry guys if I forgot you...

Actually thinking about this some of the closest friends I have I have met from here.
One of the best times was a couple of years ago when Geranmo74 stayed here for a couple of days on a vacation and SloDave flew in to surprise him. That was a fun weekend.
Shooting a lot of stuff and missing more at Seahawks, getting stabbed by Jim's wife while arguing about who was gonna pay the bill at dinner.
And the entire splinter group who stays connected through a private forum
