Ok. Spoke with Hagerty. They said they would work with me to transition (ie. they wouldn't just cut me off) but they would expect my son to have his own car by the time he has his license or shortly after. Long story short, I would need a separate daily driver for each licensed member in household.
I called Grundy. They said essentially the same. BTW both said that no drivers under 25 were allowed to drive the collector but were afraid that the others would drive the other cars and force me to use the porsche as a daily driver. American Collectors was a slight variation. They said that they would not require the additional car as long as my son was a student. So I would be ok until he graduated high school. Then they would expect him to have his own car. FWIW. American Collectors had an amazing price. I don't have the numbers with me though. Chubb was the only company that took into consideration the fact that we don't really drive the other cars as daily drivers and did not require an add'l car for each driver. Looks like I will be going with Chubb. Thanks to you all for your good thoughts and suggestions. Rick |
Did you call Leland-West? As I mentioned earlier, they give a pretty good PCA discount.
