Porsche Crest 1957 Porsche 356A Outlaw - Jay Leno's Garage

This car proves once again that with skill, money, time and disregard for better judgement any car can be resurrected.

Amazing workmanship. It's a beautiful car, right down to the wheels.
Fuchs just don't look right on a 356.

Very cool that he gave the builder the bandwidth he did.

He sold the car, apparently? Great vehicle and awesome fabrication skills. What I find funny is that he does all that but doesn't build the engine. Some guys are chassis guys and others are mechanical guys. I'd be happy to build him an engine some day in exchange for some fab work!

Thanks for sharing!

Absolutely yes.

I think he had roll up windows in the doors. I never liked the clip in curtains on the factory Speedsters.

That's what I like about outlaw cars. Lots of freedom to do what you want.

EDIT: Is the builder a Pelican?

Beautiful car! I dont like Fuchs on a 356 but for some reason these didnt look too bad. Also, that exhaust note is lovely!

+1 Nothing on the radio that I'd rather listen to than the sound of a Porsche engine.
