It will sell for at least $40K and may sell at asking price. With all those options, it's rare enough to command that price, and it's complete.

It's not complete without the original engine. That will knock the price down some. Is the leather interior even salvageable? And if rust shows like an iceberg shows...

It's a gamble but the original engine may be found. Rust is easy, just expensive. Same with interior.

That is ridiculous... Absolutely ridiculous.

BUT Imagine what a clean but humble SC or 3.2 will be worth in about 10 years!

Combination refers to black exterior with the bone interior. Someone will pick this up and I hope they do restore it. That combo with full leather, etc., - SWEET!

Nothing wrong with this car that a fanatic with lots of money can't fix.

The engine will be "found", no question. And a chassis too to put the vin bits on.

This thread had me thinking about a car I knew about 10 years ago. It belonged to a friend Mark and it was a semi butchered left hand drive (our cars are right hand drive here in NZ) 1972 911S. It had been made to look like an impact bumper 1974 car, but the interior was in origional condition and had the correct recaro seats.

I've no idea where Mark or the car is

If anyone buys that for anything close to 40k they have more money than brains. But then again, that is pretty common these days.

S Porsche w/Sporto?

According to his list, the car has/had a sportomatic tranny. I don't think that I have ever seen an "S" with anything other than a manual gearbox! Very strange!

Looks like it still has the Sporto, at least the shifter.
