Terminal. Margot is pretty hot. And scary.

Interesting. Kinda like Sin City but with a lot of neon.

^ One of my all time favorite movies. The theme, such as that one, contributes in a big way. So powerful. Thanks for posting it.

sc_rufctr 10-23-2018 12:31 AM

You're welcome Mr Steve!

Same here. Brilliant period movie and it was the first time the siege of a fort had been properly portrayed IMO.

stealthn 10-23-2018 01:35 PM

Still bummed Apocalypto is not on Netflex yet - That is an amazing movie

JackDidley 10-23-2018 02:07 PM

The looking glass. Nick Cage movie. Sooooo slow the first 25 minutes I turned it off.

Saw Hunter Killer tonight and thought it was excellent. If you like submarine movies and Gerard Butler when he's at his best, go. It doesn't have the Tom Clancy realism, but you don't need it. It stays exciting the whole way through with good surprises.

I finally got to watch 10 Cloverfield Lane. Turns out it is my kind of movie. And yes, lots of tense moments.:eek:

JackDidley 10-31-2018 08:45 PM

Also watched, Tag, today. Not normally my kind of movie. Comedy. It was pretty good. My expectatons were low but it was a fun movie to watch.

Steve Carlton 11-04-2018 07:12 AM

Looking forward to this on Thursday:

Not usually my kind of movie but this one surprised me.
I don't want to give any spoilers but it was extremely well done!

Martha Marcy May Marlene is a member of the 'painfully slow' movie club.

Add to that:
Annihilation (recent release)
Swiss Army Man
Only God Forgives and all the other Nicolas Winding Refn films
Most French love films and Woody Allen
Kippur
Thin Red Line
2001

"Born Losers" just started on TCM.

Will be followed by "Billy Jack" and "The Trial of Billy Jack".

Remember - no commercials on TCM!

Baz 11-15-2018 05:26 PM

Fell asleep last night as soon as "The Trial..." started. Oh well....it'll be on again.

Watching "The Descendants" right now on Ovation. It's such a great movie...so well done....so much interpersonal relationships but in an entertaining yet moving fashion.

Baz 11-18-2018 02:15 PM

Watching "Creed" right now on BET!

JackDidley 11-18-2018 08:35 PM

Beta Test. Video game violence merges with real life. I am not a gamer but I did find this a fun movie to watch.

JackDidley 11-19-2018 07:55 PM

Kingsman, the secret service. A fun movie. Sam Jackson movies usually are fun.:D

Baz 11-26-2018 05:48 PM

"The Rainmaker" on Ovation. Almost over. What an amazing movie.....directed by Francis Ford Coppola.

Mickey Rourke as "Bruiser"! And Danny Glover does great as the judge.....

JackDidley 11-26-2018 07:50 PM

Elyssium. Matt Damon sci fi movie. Lots of action. It was on FX so it was free and I generally like M.D. movies so I can not complain.

Recently watched "Game Night"--absolutely terrible--not funny, and tonally it is all over the place. Had to cleanse the palate with a re-watch of M*A*S*H

Steve Carlton 11-27-2018 05:41 AM

Wow. I thought Game Night was very funny. That scene where Jason Bateman was shot in the arm and the next door neighbor was great, I thought.

I tried to watch game night . Made about 10 minutes. I am not that into comedy movies though.

Firewall. Harrison Ford suspense movie. Not bad. I like suspense.

flipper35 11-27-2018 10:43 AM

That wasn't a bad movie. Mr Ford has a decent track record of decent movies.

I agree. Jack Ryan series was great.

flipper35 11-27-2018 12:31 PM

Just leave out Indy Jones 4 and you have a good chance of a good movie. Regarding Henry was pretty good from what I remember.

flipper35 11-27-2018 12:31 PM

Flying the Feathered Edge is a pretty good documentary about Bob Hoover.

JackDidley 11-29-2018 04:26 PM

Kiss kiss bang bang. Decent comedy with Robert Downey Jr and a hot chick whos name I dont know. Nice one.
The Terminal. Gave it 25 minutes. That is all.

Steve Carlton 11-29-2018 05:42 PM

I don't think I'm ever disappointed with a Harrison Ford movie, but I haven't seen them all. One of the lesser known ones I really liked was Mosquito Coast.

Haven't watched it all yet, but I'm liking The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. Coen brothers, on Netflix.

Life as a House with Kevin Kline is really good.

"Clear and Present Danger" was on TV tonight and I watched most of it. Willem Dafoe and James Earl Jones are always force multipliers in any movie they are in.

Baz 11-29-2018 07:29 PM

Watching this one now....one of the greatest movies ever made.......

I Tanya. Something I care nothing about but I was very bored. Turned out to be a very watchable movie.
I also decided, I am in love with Morgot Robbie so I will watch more of her movies.:D:D
