The Camaro driver is obviously 100% at fault here.

That said - the ladder pickup could, and probably should, have sped up and moved over to let the Camaro by. In essence it looked like he was blocking the Camaro on purpose. Also, the semi-truck could have also slowed to let the Camaro through, even though it wasn't his "responsibility" to do so. Those two were not responsible - it's on the Camaro driver 100%.

2 douchbags. Ladder truck is partially at fault for NOT PASSING the semi or moving over. He's not a traffic cop; it's not his job to keep people from speeding.

Camaro should have dropped back and passed semi on right shoulder if he couldn't wait; it appears wide enough that he wouldn't have dropped a wheel.

I once saw what looked like a soccer mom and an old dude going for a DB award. They were 1 and 2 at a 4 lane divided rd traffic light. Light turns, and both toodle along at roughly the same speed. The problem is that a couple/few hundred feet from the light, the two southbound lanes turn into one (right lane has to merge to the left). Soccer mom can't/doesn't get in front of the guy, so they end up sharing the lane. The crazy thing is that there's no shoulder to speak of and no middle lane. So for a while, she's got her right hand tires in the grass and he's got his left hand tires in the oncoming lane. I was flabbergasted. She's got kids, and he's old enough to know better (and she should be). I was once turning right in the left lane where there are 2 right turn lanes. Soccermom in her Expedition, turns from the rightmost turn lane, but as she pulls through the corner, turns into the left turn lane (the one that I'm in) as I'm along side. I was lucky that there was a wide, paved median for me to use. I dropped back and then in behind her. I was just hanging, but then saw a gap, so thought I'd go around. As I came past her, she gunned it, so I dropped back again. Then she pulled the same move as the work truck in the video above. She shadowed a car in the other lane. I stayed behind here and didn't tailgate. A mile or two down the road at the next light, she pulled into the left turn lane while I was going straight. She rolled her passenger's side window down and screamed out the window at me. I couldn't hear what she was saying. I did find it amusing that she'd run me off the road (I suspect on accident) and probably had no clue. To go along with that story. In Florida, if you turn onto a road with 2 or more lanes going the direction that you are going, then you must turn into the nearest lane to where you came from. I was shocked when I learned that in Texas, if you turn onto a road with multiple lanes, you can turn into any one of those lanes that you want. I suspect the chick in my second story above, was using that rule without realizing that there were 2 turn lanes (probably hadn't looked at the sign). Years later in a different car but within 1/2 mile of that incident, I had a young girl do the same, me in outside turn lane, girl in inside turn lane, she clipped my front fender. I took video of the intersection showing 2 turn lanes and sent it to my insurance. And double turn lanes like that are NOT rare around here. It's actually very common, so I'm always surprised when someone screws it up.

It's easy to get flustered while co-existing with the general populace - but I always remind myself that there's nothing the other driver(s) can do to take me out of my "common sense" mode.

Meaning - leave the ego in your back pocket where it belongs. Drive like the adult in the room. It doesn't hurt to select certain times of the day to do your errands when there's less traffic. I do that all the time when picking up provisions or materials. Less traffic in the stores as well.

that happens daily on our fwys especially on the 5 between SF and LA. They tailgate a big truck and bully their way in jsut to get ahead of a few cars. The other problems is the 55 truck limit on these two lane hwys. All cars are flying by at 85 but the trucks are crawling at 55, with those who are at the speed limit holding up everyone else because they are just crawling by at 65 with trucks at 55-60. What a mess. Camaro driver is an idiot. I hope he pay dearly and charge with reckless driving.

I counter that growing up in Los Angeles is the best driving instruction in the world.

This is instant karma. It likely sucked for the truck driver that day. The driver and passenger of the car were OK and walked away.

My business partner broke up with one chick he really liked, because when she was driving on the highway she really believed she had total right to stay in the left lane and drive the speed limit. She even said no one should have to go faster than her. He told her she was a *ucking idiot and broke up with her on the spot.

On my many road trips I often come across the left lane bandit that has no intention of letting anyone pass them. They will drive one MPH over the limit at most until they get to a point when the right lane is clear, then speed way up to prevent anyone passing, and slow down once they come to the next truck. Back when I was commuting daily I was headed home and a Honda "boy racer" with huge spoiler front and a giant wing on the back was right on my bumper. I was changing lanes to go to the interstate exchange on the right. I could easily see a huge tire tread in that lane, so I waited until I was past the tread to change lanes. The idiot tailgater figured he would jump over into the exit lane and drive on the yellow stripped shoulder before the exit lane to beat me to the exit. He was committed to that lane and then saw the tire tread, and it destroyed his front end. I just smiled, and took my exit as planned. If he had been at a safe distance behind me, and not tailgating he could have seen the tire tread and avoided it. It was much like the ladder video above.

my blood still boils thinking about it. night work. a lady riding a motocycle gets tired of the traffic jam, and slips between the traffic cones and enjoys unhindered traffic of a closed traffic lane. right until she gets to the work zone where she nose dives her motorcycle into wet concrete. she jumps up and berates everyone. she was drunk. everyone smelled it. she started yelling about how she is suing everyone. the construction guys use a backhoe and pluck her motorcycle out of the wet slurry and proceed to wash her motorcycle. then they let her ride off!! I lectured (I might have yelled) at everyone. that lady would have been in cuffs, after I called CHP. she bullied them into helping and letting her go!!! GAH..now i'm pissed all over again.
