This guy would have ruled in PARF:

I think I coughed up a lung reading this: :)

Letters of Note: Thou eunuch of language

You must be getting bored if your internet browsing is becoming that obscure. Maybe a drive to the beach instead?

My life is plenty interesting these days, thanks anyways. The beach is always there for me, I find it boring. Scottish wordsmiths, OTOH, are not boring. :)

I'd say that we don't have a hell of a lot in common, but that's ok.

LOL

Definitely not a PARF person. PARF mostly exhibits too many words but with nothing to say.

speeder 01-26-2014 11:49 AM

Come on, the guy was hilarious. A turbocharged insult generator of his time.

scottbombedout 01-26-2014 11:56 AM

I think you have hit on something there Denis, but he would have ended up on the island pretty quick.

Reading his words though brought certain people to mind...:)

Denis, you are in a really grumpy mood today. What is up with you? Did you nick your scrotum while shaving this morning?

Are you serious? I'm in a great mood and posted something that I thought was hilarious. Just move on to another thread, please. It's as though there's a language barrier between us. :)

I think I must have misjudged my audience here. Wouldn't be the first time.

Probably. I doubt that anyone here makes the connection between Robert Burns and his comedic muse, Gracie Allen. Oh well...

DARISC 01-26-2014 01:45 PM

Bill Shakespeare would have been good in PARF also:

Thou dankish ill-nurtured maggot-pie!

Thou puking boil-brained dewberry!

Hence rotten thing! Or I shall shake thy bones out of thy garments.

Thou wert best set thy lower part where thy nose stands.

Thou loggerheaded unchin-snouted varlot!

Thou weedy elf-skinned foot-licker!

speeder 01-26-2014 02:01 PM

That's good stuff...hilarious. :)

gordner 01-26-2014 02:40 PM

The word pimp is of unknown origin. It first appeared in English around 1600 and was used then as now to mean "a person who arranges opportunities for sexual intercourse with a prostitute." The figurative meaning, "a person who panders to an undesirable or immoral impulse," was found by the middle of the 17th century. The verb to pimp dates from the early 17th century.
