Full disclosure: I am neither affiliated nor receive any revenue here. I just think its a great idea for everyone to have NOW! The Survival Still is not just another product. We have a powerful vision of how we are going to help the people of the world, both here and in poorer countries. In our own little way, we are going to make the world a better place, and you can help us.

Classic marketing to men. Include a number (5 things) an appeal to manliness (provide for your family). That's an interesting market to target when it seems like this would be most useful for NGOs who can provide them to people in parts of the world where the water isn't safe.

It is a smart thing for people that have unreliable water source.
I live in a city and I have city provided water. Only once in my life have I had the city water not work. A water main broke nearby. The city was on it right away, and we had water 5 hours later. I had to use the water well water to flush our toilets, so it was not a major issue. Only if I lose city water, and electricity will I have a lack of water. I have a case of bottled water on hand all the time. I have a fridge full of beer as well. I just don't worry about the zombie apocalypse, or natural disasters that can cause the water to stop. They are as unlikely as extraterrestrials landing.

If you really want to water prep, remember sustenance level of water consumption is about 27 gallons per capita day in a hot environment. You can cut that down even further if you need to just drinking water which takes it down to a couple of gallons. Remember you have 40 to 50 gallons of water in your hot water heater. You use waste dish or wash water to flush solids down the crapper. And for sanitation a gallon of Sodium Hypochlorite, i.e. common liquid bleach, and a paper filter to desilt if needed. These gadgets are a waste of money if you are served by a municipal system. Oh, and if you have a spa or swimming pool you are golden.
