"Already pinged"....wtf?
Just noticed this when I made a post on the AAPL thread at the bottom of the reply page....what the heck is this all about? The sites "pinged" seem random and not related to the thread at all...

I placed an add for some Toyo-888's in the classified section.
I was seeing Toyo-888 banner adds for months. They went away, but I expect after this post, they will be returning...

Hey Steve, I remember seeing that "trackback" stuff some time back, and see the blank "trackback" item on posts I make. The "links" appear to be only showing up on the APPL thread (haven't seen them there before today, and are consistent now, but not on other threads I'm posting to). Pretty sure I wouldn't have missed it...it's like a coiled rattler and GOT my attention fast
 . No biggie...just curious thus this thread...thanks all!
