Luxor has the worst beds I have slept in (tower room). Aria may be the best room I have had in vegas. I stayed at paris early January hotel was a little run down but beds were nice. I have stayed at about 5 other hotels in vegas over the years. every other hotel had a better bed than luxor. Btw I like all the casino's in vegas.

Have fun Mike

Bellagio was terrific. Not a fan of using online lock-in rates. Weekend rates are prem. so best to call them and see what they'll 'do for you'. Probably irrelevant but cheapest are weekday and forget the room with a view.

The Aria is nice and has a great location but look out for the $40 per night "resort fee" they charge. A inclusive fee for internet, gym access, and use of the the pool! I stayed there for the NAB show last year and couldn't believe they were asking for that. Since I was there for a trade show I told them that I wouldn't be using the pool, I run in the mornings rather than using their fitness room, and I didn't bring a computer so I wouldn't be needing their internet service. They still charged me! Are all the Vegas hotels doing that now?

At first I thought I created this thread.

Whew.

I think all the major hotels are doing the resort fee as way to advertise lower prices but still make money.

Stay somewhere decent. Bellagio, Aria, Cosmo, MGM, Wynn/Encore, Planet Hollywood. All on/close to the strip and will have nice to super nice rooms. You can find rooms for under $200 per night all-in.

I agree that the Bellagio is a great place to stay. Enjoy your trip!

Luxor is a dump, but has a good Mexican restaurant inside. Check out the Vdara. On the strip between the Aria and Bellagio, connected to both of those by free tram. Quiet, cheap, very nice all suite hotel, no casino. The wife and I have stayed there twice. Big rooms, big beds, room service - sounds like that may be all that you need!;)

Agree that Luxor is really run down. Consider The Palms just off the strip. The rooms are comfortable and stylish, very reasonable rates, and the night life is hoppin'. Several v good restaurants with excellent views of the city. I am no Vegas junkie but this is my new favorite place to stay.

Enjoy the ride...

The prequel worked well.....going for the encore. Blue Men group, black jack and a desert fun run in the hot rod with the top(s) down.

They rob the TURISTAS with that RESORT TAX so the Locals taxes are not raised...you can thank your Progressive govt that is massively under water with Pension obligations for that fine mess..
