Wayne,
The problem seems to have disappeared, but there was definitely something amiss for some time.
I tend to open up a new browser for each link I visit, and I'd get the Avast error warning for every link I'd click.
It no longer does that.

I get the warning on certain threads like the semi naked ladies threads. But that's it.

I've gotten the google/firefox attack site warnings before here on my Linux desktop running Firefox but nothing lately. Only use Chrome for our course management system and a few work related things ...

I hate those non informative warnings.

A lot of the time it's because some lazy back end guy linked something innocuous like a spacer pixel from the unsecured side.

I got the Avast warning on one of the threads yesterday - and it wasn't even in PARF !
