Computer Virus? Pelican Parts?
Is anyone getting an Avast Virus Warning when trying to access Pelican Parts message board articles via a google search. I simply get hit with a virus warning everytime I try to look at an thread and get a white page saying access is blocked.
Does the same on 3 computers I've tried. I can log in to the forum no problem through the main page. Anyone else notice this? Here's the details of the message... I had a warning from my anti-virus last Friday. It blocked the virus.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1391723270.jpg It happened just the one time. I figured it was one of the ads. |
I think it is the ads.

Parf?

Nope, No ads with adblock turned off... |
Yes, Mcafee is talking at me. My speel checker don't work there either, nor do about half the videos.

Strange goings on..
I just clicked the engine porn link...
and up popped a log-in screen for a site I have never heard of... so naturally I supplied the requested info :p NOT!! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1391788805.jpg |

BTW, I've tried the other situations where people have gotten virus warnings and that has not happened to me. I use Firefox, No Scripts (set to full acceptance of PP), and Avast. |
I just started using my Mac only for Pelican Parts, works like a charm...LOL
|
Yep. I've gotten a virus about two weeks ago from here. I assume its from the ads and constant spammers. Welcome to Walmart of Porsche parts.
|
hmm, weird. I don't have any virii, and have never seen this odd behavior.
I guess Firefox, Adblock and no script are doing the job. |
No warnings but my system does seem to have caught something. It's running real slow, getting licked off and I'm having difficult opening topics.

[Just an FYI:] For the past few years I've had a 'plague' of Googe/Chrome java script, which has been locking-up this computer for many many years. Completely trashing the HD. And wasting my valuable time. Daily. AFAIK, I shouldn't have any Google/Chrome/anything on this computer. Only NoScript and Ghostery additions running. But, not only on the PelicanParts website.... Even when updating MS Security Essentials with nothing running in the background. [/Just an FYI.] |
