International Motorcycle Show - anyone been?
The bike show starts Friday and I'm planning to swing by. Anyone in other cities been to this year's show? Whose exhibit is can't miss?

I didn't think anything at this year's show was a "can't miss." The Indians actually held my greatest interest (and I have no interest in the cruiser market). They had the prettiest bikes, nicest display, and best-looking spokesmodels (though that seems to vary day-by-day). The fit-and-finish on the bikes, the casting details (like the cylinder heads), the depth of the paint, the quality of the leather, etc were all top-notch.

yeah I agree. I go every year, kinda out of habit, but if I miss it next year, that'll be fine.

I attended the show about 15 years ago and enjoyed it. Thanks for the thread and show info. I think I will pop in there for a day as we'll.

It's in Seattle in another week. I rarely miss it. I think it's picked up in quantity and quality in the last couple of years, after a real downturn for the four or five years prior to that. Lots of manufacturers are back that simply didn't bother for quite awhile, so that's a good thing. Nothing like it was in the late '90's and early '00's, though. They use to absolutely pack two floors of our exhibit hall, then dwindled to one floor, then really had to spread it out to look like they were using the entire floor, then only used half the one floor. Last year they just about filled the one floor again, so maybe it's on a comeback.

Really? I'm kinda psyched to see the Panigale 1199 and 899, and I'm hoping the Hondas recently announced (VFR and CBR650) are on hand. I also plan to swing by the KTM booth even though nothing I'm interested in is for sale in the US. It's just that considering the weather and that it's an hour trip, I'm hoping to go in with a bigger list of things to see.
