First guy took me up on my offer!

So a few weeks ago, I took the F-car out to go look at a Lotus for sale out here in the desert. When I got back home, I had a PM from 86Meesta2...he *heard* the Ferrari going down the opposite side of the freeway, but couldn't get a visual on me. haha.

Anyway, finally got to meet 'Meesta tonight (Nick) and had a really nice time. He got some seat time in the Ferrari. Forgot to get pics, but maybe he'll chime in and talk about the experience....but judging by his grin at 8500 rpm, I think he had a good time!

Offer still stands. Any Pelican can drive the F-car!

Very cool. I've let good friends drive cars of mine with serious HP. The look on their face is worth it when the symphony and traction let loose. What good are toys if you don't have anyone to share them with?

snapper, you still in Ohio? (at least I thought you were there). I'm hopefully going to be back in indy within the next year or so, and the Fcar will be coming with.

It was an Éclat. Engine was questionable. Interior was roached. Price was too high, although I certainly could have gotten it cheaper. Just didn't want another project car....especially one with limited parts availability.

I drove my friend's 355 not longer after he first got it...very cool. Going through turns was insane - just point her in that direction and there she goes!

Very cool of you to offer Mike...hope some of you guys take Mike up on driving his prancing horse!

It's a Lotus built engine......they were questionable when brand new...

Going to using other peoples engines was the best thing they did for the company.

Me and my family are going to Irvine next weekend to check out a college that my daughter is interested in. I would love to just get to sit in a Ferrari but unfortunately won't have time. We are leaving Tucson friday night after I get off work. Checking out the college on Saturday and then taking my 3 other kids to see the ocean. Heading back home Sunday.

First off, Mike, thank you very much! Always looking to meet local car guys and when I learned that Mike was ~10 minutes from me I reached out to see if he would want to get together. We both have been really busy and after playing phone/email tag for a couple weeks yesterday finally presented a few hours late in the afternoon when Mike graciously stopped by with the Fcar.
All I can say is that I was floored- the sound of that engine is music to my ears! Just amazing across all rpms but particularly insane above 6500! Loved every minute of the drive we took up the highway and down some deserted desert backroads.
Mike's a great guy as well- lots of interesting stories and very knowledge about the car, hope to get together soon and maybe find a few more to do a drive through the mountains around here. Maybe we can start a car "tour"- if anyone comes up for the 355, I can add to the experience with a 996!
