Phew. Bless this guy, but you had me worried. We have our very own Paco Anton who we don't want to lose.

Paco de Lucia's passing has created quite a stir here in Spain as he was only 66. Supposedly it was a sudden heart stroke when he was playing in the beach with one of his grandkids. RIP maestro. | ||

But what 66 years!! Playing since age 5, touring at age 12, creating, inventing and re-inventing himself and flamenco every couple of years .. While not a flamenco fan (even if I was born in Spain), some of the things he did with Camaron are simply amazing, same with Chick Corea, his learning experience with McLaughin and Al Di Meola ... Having to learn 'Concierto de Aranjuez' without knowing how to read music!! What a life! What a dedication. I have been fortunate enough to have been at a multitude of his concerts and have meet him personally several times. Still trying to get 'Entre dos aguas' right .. after 20 years!! Paco you will be missed greatly. Even if you don't speak Spanish you should see and try to understand this (long) documentary about his life --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gthk0FNPkW8

I saw him in concert here last year. So very glad I took that opportunity--truly one of the most amazing performances I have ever experienced.
