Great work by nature in front of the lens and the camera work behind it. The motion adds a great interest. The trickiest part of the set ups is when the camera follows a star or shadow through the hours - could be done post production I suppose.
Here is the outfit that they used for the 4 axis motion control:

That was awesome. I wasn't going to hike Half Dome this year. Now I am re thinking it. I love Yosemite.
