Any leather experts?

I just acquired a very rare pistol holster that is 100 years old.
It is made of leather and is not brittle or dried out.
What is the proper way to store it to protect it
I just put it in my gun safe but then realized I have a dehumidifier in it so the air inside stays warm
Will this age or hurt the holster. would it be better stored at room temp
should I treat it with some kind of leather oil or just leave it alone

is ok to leave it in the warm safe with the dehumidifier or will the warm air speed the aging process of the leather

Ideally I would store it in a wooden box at room temperature but leather can also get moldy so ideally at 55% humidity.
I have a medium sized collection of vintage film cameras and I store those in a glass cabinet between 35% to 45%.
This is a little dry for vintage leather so I store that stuff in a wooden draw.

You could use a gentle leather conditioner but be careful and test it on an inconspicuous area first.

This is worth a look. There's a product called "Elephant Leather Preserver" that I use on vintage camera straps and cases.
Fully synthetic and German made and very reasonably priced IMO.

There is another product that is used to preserve leather goods in a museum.

The Germans always make good stuff.
And they know leather.

I would store it the same way it was stored for the last 100 years.
