Jimmy Fallon rules

So glad Lennos gone. Fallon rules.

Respectfully,
I think your wrong.
Carson was ok I guess.
I'd like to know ages with preference.
There is that generation gap thing I think.
I feel Fallon is genius but his humor would leave many older generations wondering wth he's talking about.
Lenno was a bridge but he was just lame really, I liked letterman much more.

I'm so happy we have Fallon.
I'm 44 years old.

ramonesfreak 03-06-2014 08:30 AM

I'm 42. I think they all suck. I just hate the format and the guests perhaps more than the personalities. Certainly Fallon is closer in relevance to me than the others but .... Blah...

GH85Carrera 03-06-2014 08:36 AM

I have not watched late night TV since Carson retired. I have seen Leno on YouTube but I go to bed at 10:30 now.

rusnak 03-06-2014 08:36 AM

I like Jimmy Fail-on as a person, but don't care for his show and the writing at all.

cairns 03-06-2014 08:37 AM

His ratings say otherwise. And he's not a car guy.

onlycafe 03-06-2014 08:49 AM

i still check to see who is going to be on the late night shows, if there is a guest i want to see i will watch any of the shows.
i do enjoy jimmy kimmel and craig ferguson.

flipper35 03-06-2014 08:49 AM

45, never liked Letterman much. Couldn't stand to watch Conan O'brian. Fallon had a few things that made me laugh, but not enough to make it worth the effort to watch a show with him on. Johnny Carson and Leno are entertaining enough to watch.

Don't often watch Ferguson but love the accent. It was a hoot when he had Ewan McGregor on.

Fallon has far more talent than any of his predecessors, and can adlib like Carson. Leno seemed decent, respectful but a little stale.

Regarding late shows, that Seth Meyers isn't going to last.

Les Paul 03-06-2014 08:56 AM

In his first couple of weeks it is apparent he is a political suck up. Nobody really gives a shift if he is buds with those knuckleheads. He can't or won't make fun of the potus or his lard ass wife who promotes healthy eating? Really look in the mirror.

He does credible imitations and guests seem to like him. But, if you're going to bring in politics every show make fun of the current clown show in the White house.

javadog 03-06-2014 09:45 AM

Fallon's initial rarings are meaningless. He's new, people are tuning in to see the new guy and he's had some help from the lead-in programming. Let's see how he's doing in 5 year's time.

I personally don't care for the guy. He can be funny but I don't think he has the gravitas for the role. Conan didn't either; a funny guy (in small doses) but completely wrong for the job.

Leno did a good job for NBC and he'd still be around if the clueless suits in the head office wern't idiots.

Back when VCRs first came out one thing that made me want one was the thought that I could record Letterman and watch it later. I did that for a week and did not laugh once. Stupid Pet Tricks is sometimes cool. I tried Letterman an and off for a while and he is just not funny. Stupid, but not funny.

Carson was a master of wit. He had un-scripted moments with something funny on most shows.

I gave up on late night TV long ago. I almost never watch the big four networks.

I'm 87, and I think they all suck. Sullivan was a true master of the genre. Everything else after is pure crap.

john70t 03-06-2014 10:14 AM

I'm 112, and Ernie Kovacs schooled them all.

Fallon can do impressions well. I wish he would pick one and replace his own spastic boy routine.

Leno -during the writers strike- killed it (excellent on his own). That is raw talent right there.

Kimmel takes Fallons lunch money nightly.

herr_oberst 03-06-2014 10:18 AM

I'm an 11 year old girl and I think Justin Beiber should get a late night show. He's dreamy.
