A big hole in my heart...
Time to share a bit of sad news.
 The pawprints on the vineyard may fade away, but the mark on our hearts and our lives are forever. Chip, my buddy, companion, and best brown dog ever...sleep gently. Chip survived being a rescue dog found on a movie lot in LA to become integral to our family and our lives. Far from rescuing him, he rescued us. He taught us more and brought us more joy than we could ever repay. He outlived jaw cancer for a couple of fantastic bonus years. But Wednesday he woke unable to move his rear legs. Either spread of cancer or degenerative disc, so out of respect for the quality of his life and incredible love, we all held him close this morning in the sunlight on the floor of our living room as went to run and dig in the vineyard forever...

I feel your pain my friend. Been there not too long ago myself. Dogs like that hold special places in our hearts.

No one can express the love that you gave and received from your friend and family member. It would be pointless to say that Chip will always be remembered and loved, as you already know and feel that. So may Chip rest in Gods arms.
