Talking in my sleep

girlfriend is pissed. at some point last night i called someone a "*****". of course i have no memory of this or the dream i was having. and don't think should be held responsible.

is there any way of dealing with this?

Leave it alone.

It could have been directed her in the dream or someone else. No one will ever know.

Note - now that she knows you talk in your sleep, she might figure out she can ask you questions you normally won't answer.

For example, my now ex asked me who I would sleep with at work. Being unconscious and asleep, I answered truthfully with multiple names. Man, was I in deep doodoo.

She forgot about it eventually.

The Romantics - Talking In Your Sleep - YouTube

A couple of years ago my wife had bouts where she would snore REAL LOUD...she didn't believe me so one night I secretly videotaped her:p....I had the proof and I presented it to her the next day...she was shocked at how loud she could get!

Luckily it only lasted a couple of weeks!

That shows such optimism.:D Women are like elephants because they never forget. They squirrel it away and retrieve it at the most opportune time. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/chix.gif

Don't eat anything within a few hours of bedtime.
Don't drink booze within a few hours of bedtime.
Don't watch TV right before bedtime.
Bang the bejeezus out of your girlfriend right before bedtime.

Isn't this the first thing everyone does when they find out someone talks in their sleep? The person who's awake can steer the conversation by asking questions even though they might not get any logical answers.

Conversations with a sleep talker is hilarious. (unless, you're getting grilled by an unhappy SO...In which case, it sucks)

I've been on both sides.

Oi, had that happen on my snoring......embarrassed the hell out of me.

Funny thing, she snored too.

At least yer breathing while ya sleep.

johnco 03-11-2014 12:23 PM

had a girlfriend that sometimes talked in her sleep. that would lead to a quick and easy hypnotic induction. then the fun started

Joe Bob 03-11-2014 12:24 PM

My wife talks in her sleep..... In Mandarin...

The first time I mentioned that she talked in her sleep she asked me "what did I say"

Then after a moment we were laughing hysterically..... Since I speak very little Mandarin.....It was a good happy moment..

Well the good news you didn't mention another females name. Dodged that bullet.

This reminds me of a Modern Family episode.

Modern Family _ Gloria Gets Mad Over Jay's Sexy Dream - Video Dailymotion

Turned out that he was having a nightmare about the dog being in danger.

Not true at all. They forget all the "good stuff" you have done.

varmint 03-12-2014 09:37 AM
