Tire size
CURRENTLY ,MY 1971 911 HAS P225/50R16 tires on the rear, can i replace those tires with P245/45R16.Looks like i have the room but i would feel better with other opinions
thankyou: Bucko |
What size is the wheel? That will play into it too. I had 245/45/16 on my 80SC, but on 9" Fuchs, had plenty of room.

Best to have an 8 inch wheel....then if you're lucky enough to find a fresh set of 245/45s......
|
I ran 245-45-16 on back of my SC on 8" BBS, and it worked well (with 225/50 in front).
I eventually went back to the stock sizes because street tires in 245-45-16 dried up. Only one option and it is softer than I want in a street tire, and more expensive. |
THANKS GUYS I HAVE 8 INCH WHEELS AND FOUND A FRESH SET OF TIRES ,BUT GET THIS $150.00 FOR ALL FOUR,NOT NEW BUT WAY BETTER THEN WHAT I CURRENTLY HAVE
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR INPUTSmileWavy |
