There's another one in Arizona, same color, half the miles. He's too high on his price, too, but if you could talk him down a couple grand, it would be a much better car, all things being equal. You'd still need to check it out.

Just fwiw, if I had a choice between the L and the normal A8 I'd prefer the normal, unless my kids were 6'5 or so. You do feel the length. Java, that S8 if friggin drop dead beautiful.

This about sums it up. If the OP asked about buying a Mercedes or BMW, the range of answers would've been about the same. Buy carefully, have some cash set aside for service & repairs, and enjoy the experience.

FWIW, I had an '00 A4 and an '05 S4, and both were trouble-free.

As a long time Audi owner DIY'er I have to tell you the real meaning behind the current Audi moto.

Audi - "Truth in Engineering" really means "we have engineered a way to get all your money"

Having said my wife daily drives our Audingo 250 miles a week at 30 plus miles per gallon and it is up to 183k miles 2001 TT Quat 225 HP 6 speed.
