Where is Corvette and Viper in the FIA WEC?
The first round of the FIA-WEC is this weekend at Silverstone, and there are no Corvettes or Vipers in the field?
Does GM and Chrysler believe they can just show up at Le Mans, and be competitive against Porsche, Ferrari and Aston Martin?

Corvette has been there many years and is competing against the factory team here in America. Viper is not going to Le Mans this year.

Aston Martins were the loudest things around thanks to a distinct lack of Corvettes at this year's race. I wanted to get some pictures of the cars but random guys kept blocking the view...

Corvette and Viper are not full season entries and have been 'gifted' entries to LeMans by the ACO. Those cars are technically not eligible in the WEC by ACO rules.
And I believe SRT announced that it will not be fielding Vipers in this year's LeMans anyway.

Great race this weekend - can't believe Audi lost both its cars. Loved how close the P1 cars ran - the BOP is spot on.

ACO reps never come to the States before the season starts, almost always to the first race. In '07 they came to Sebring to inspect our Acura/HPD/Courage LMP2 car to make it eligible for Le Mans, ELMS, and WEC. All they really look at is the driver seating position, air box, and tow points. Everything else they already had with checked off with technical docs. Don't know whats up with SRT cars. Too bad they can't sell any road cars. That spells death to the racing program. Thats too bad…...
