Looking for the black audi wagon picture

...Anyone know where to find it?

I know it's a popular joke/phrase and it's really hard to find the actual pic of the Audi crashing the R-gruppe party.

It's probably been destroyed in the interest of peace?

Not a chance. It's still around.

I thought it was a group shot of early 911s and one black Audi wagon.

I'd like a copy of that one. I'll keep it next to my Rgruppe badge, maybe put in on the rear grill of my car.

IIRC it was taken in the daytime from an upper room in the hotel?

This was all I could find:

here's a link to what I think is the original thread. I'm not a member so I can't see the pics.

What is the funny looking silver car in the front they are all crowding around? Ruins the whole pic!

OK the real question is who owns that black Audi wagon? Did he know it would become famous?

Probably auctioned at Barrett Jackson for huge bucks...

This may be totally off, but reaching back, I recall it belonged to a Pelican, who I think later died.

I know the R Gruppe can be a bit exclusive but that seems an extreme reaction

That is truly one of the funniest, (and most iconic), BBS threads ever. I seem to remember it being a lot longer, maybe not...

This is comedy gold:

That Carrerea GT is no more closely related to a 911 than my car is. In fact, the GT and my black Audi wagon actually do have something in common--they're both faster than your 911 ;-)

I'm in the gray long sleeve shirt in front of the guy in the top hat towards the upper left. The car did not belong to a Pelican and was there before the cars lined up.

The whole thing was ridiculous from the beginning and was trumped up only as the Internet and forums can do. Yes, the leader of the pack (seen pointing at the camera right behind the GT a pillar) did not like the Audi there and would not sanction an official R Gruppe pic, a tradition of "ducks in a row.".

Might have been a little bit to do with what was in the beverage container he was holding along with many other beverages being enjoyed by all as the cars were parked for the day.

You can see the Ragamuffin on the extreme right next to the orange car. I got to park in the non-row-of-ducks.

What a bunch of whiney puzz-whips in that thread. Other than the obvious (run his license plate! ), are any of the "main players" on Pelican?
