Yuck. Not my cup of tea. Heck one of them even painted the rubber bellows and other trim parts.

Of course I am not an 'artist" and have ZERO appreciation of Picasso and other "modern" art. There is not one piece of Picasso I would allow in my house. It is all just junk. Just my opinion.

I would never do that to any car I own, but if someone wanted to pay me big $$, to get creative with someone elses car, well then, I can throw some paint at it.

Absolutely stunning! Then again...I loved Janis Joplin's 356.

I know I'll be in the minority here, but I'm a fan.

Art cars are great. Some of you talk like you think they only made 3 911SCs and these guys ruined them. They made about a zillion of them and they aren't worth much. Also, whenever someone posts photos of some hideous thing they've done to their own car on the internet, everyone tells them that "it's your car, do what you want"....I don't get it.

I just saw this @ Paris Photo show about 2 weeks ago, pretty famous art car:

It's ok, I think the ones in the OP are just as good.

That's ok, there is zero chance of you owning one even if you liked it.

That's done by Hockney, different ball game. And LOL at the guy that won't let picasso's on his walls, you have nothing to worry about but would you put up a couple of pics of what you have on your wall? Pretty please.

While to each his own, but do you really not see the beauty and elegance and on a certain level the economy of his "Don Quixote" or the "The Butt" line drawing that is perfection in only four lines?

I'll take as many Picassos as you guys want to give me, I could then retire a wealthy man.

These are up in my garage

We do have a nice reproduction of a Monet in the house. He had real talent. Two eyes on one side of the head is something a drugged out 5 year old can do.

It's still a big bold and beautiful world, and some people embrace that aspect of it more than others.

I respect that they actually painted the cars in lieu of computer art sent to a printer and then vinyl wrapped.

Certainly puts to shame my tiger van in 1983-1984, and my zebra Tracker 2003-2008, very simplistic graphically by comparison.

In my own defense, these vehicles were at the ends of their life-spans, and I never painted over the rubber trim either.

My black S-10 pick-up truck will get some sort of graphic treatment to help hide the rust. I just haven't decided on a pattern yet despite having done several zebra studies. Leaning towards prototype car markings, the swirly ones in particular like the example below.

A 911 is art without paint slapped on. It is a free world, so go nuts, but not my cup of tea at all. Even track car graphics are usually too much for me. I like single color paint.
