Spanish F1

Interesting Friday practice, one big name at the front and a big name with "no time"
at the back so tomorrow's quali could be interesting.

In any case hope for an entertaining and safe race on Sunday. I always enjoy them even if they're boring.

I expected to see more of a shake up, given the long break and time for package upgrades. I guess the real action starts tomorrow.

I had the same thought, but the usual suspects in same places, Kimi a bit faster.

I'm not expecting to see a shake up but the times closing up as the lagging teams have had a chance to narrow up the performance gaps between each other made at the beginning of the season. I very much doubt any team will leap frog Mercedes to be the fastest.

Today Mercedes track tested one of three dyno tested conical exhaust tailpipe configurations in an attempt spice up the sound show

I've not heard the difference yet but I'm sure it can't be worse

Vettel had to swap transmission last night, so back 5 places to the rear. He is not having a great year YET. He may recover, though.

10 mins to race time!

As incredible were the performances of Hamilton and Rosberg, Vettel also drove a fantastic race. P15 --> P4!

It's great to see the teams letting their drivers race. Team orders, helps the team, I get that, but the fans suffer for not seeing race passes earned. This year is better
that way.

It's of no use telling Massa, Vettel, or Ham to pull over for your faster team mate. And good on them for letting the team know they don't like it.

Wow! Exciting finish despite the incredible Merc advantage. Watching Rossburg close the gap only to have Hamilton open it ever so slightly. Vettel showed some gut climbing from 15 to 4th. Although I'm a Kimi fan, nice to see Alonso get the pass in front of the home crowd.

Wonder why Hamilton's last two pits were so slow against Rossburg?

For the first 3/4s of the race, I thought that the big excitement was the close-up of the ant on the curb in the 5th lap.

A good race.

Heh heh. I noticed that guy, too. He didn't know where he wanted to go, with all those race cars zooming by just inches away.

Is there any options for those of us in the USA to watch the UK telecast. I just cant stand to listen to Leigh Diffey any longer. Im sure he is a great guy, but its like fingernails on a chalkboard for me.

There are several sites that I can PM to you, but then you have to watch them live. I am willing to put with Diffey in order to watch in on my own time.
