At what price will you get out of the Porsche market?

Values are going up, and will continue to go up, but will you sell? Can you be without a Porsche? Personally, for me, not having the 993 would create a big void in my life, much like being without my motorbikes. If it was absolutely necessary from a financial standpoint, then yes, its a no-brainer.

After 12 years of ownership, its become a part of me. I don't think I could do it.

The 930 is here to stay.

Plus, two dudes driving by the house this past week saw the car in the garage and only offered Mrs. Noah $12K for it.

IF someone offered me $55,000 for my SC I'd have a hard time saying no.

I don't think there is a price that isn't so absurd, it's not credible. The only car I could bring myself to sell is the 76 but that will change by September.

I have been toying with the idea of letting the SC go but the lowest I think I would even consider is 40K and they aren't to that point yet, not even for one with the original paint

When old 911s with just 250hp are near $100k its time to consider all of your options.
I'd still like a sweet long hood but for that kind of money you can get a lot more car.

When I'm ready to consolidate, and decide its time to sell off the race cars then I'd consider a nicely depreciated barely used cars and coffee type 2015 GT3.

Maybe instead of advertising driven only to Church on Sundays it will become driven only on Sundays to cars and coffee.

I used to drive to the local Cars and Coffee with a few other Pelicans. Though we'd take the 2 hour scenic route through the Malibu canyons to get there.

The odd thing is with a few exceptions, parts prices haven't increased at the same rate as the cars. Off the top of my head, exceptions include SWB wood steering wheels, Solex carbs, Al cases, deep 6s (though 5.5s haven't increased that much), MFI and Turbo engines.

Sad to say it, but my 9330 is close to the value that I could realistically justify selling it for. I love it, and it was always my dream car, but the money they are bringing could make a huge financial difference in my life. IT would make getting off the hamster wheel early a reality for me.
I will never sell my sc, it was my first. I also have two other project 911 cars that I can play with into my old age.
I see some coolant leaks in my future.

If someone gives me 100k for my 88 911 with 160k mi on it in the next 180 days, I will take it.

Only a fool will buy it at that price.

50k US dollars for my 964.
Should not be long, at the current trajectory.
I will certainly miss it. Love that car.

I have a couple that have probably doubled in value. I can't imagine selling unless it is to buy a nicer one. I don't really need the money and it would just sit in a mutual fund. I don't know of anything else I could buy that would give me as much pleasure.

I was sorta looking to move up to a turbo version and sell one to finance that back when the prices were not so far apart between the two...but now, turbos are really just too much.

Sadly, I work so much that I really don't wrench on them any more or drive them much (the paint on both is perfect and the places I would have to park for work would quickly change that). I hope to use them more after I retire and realize that I would never ante up the price now to replace one if I sold one. I cannot image they will ever be worth less than I paid (unless totaled), so I am good to keep them as "investments"...but doubt I will ever acquire another unless it is some sort of "barn find" type deal.

My car is still in the project stage, and I hope to get started on it again this spring. I can't think of a reason to sell at all. If I did, it might be to downgrade to a MG TF or a TR3 to putz around in.

Selling mine off in the next few months - don't really care what I get for them anymore. I'm not sure if I'll come back to the p-car game eventually, guess it depends on how everything else in life goes. I might keep the 911 (haven't totally decided) but I don't really want to be dragging cars halfway around the world to my new home, dealing with shipping, having to find someplace to wrench on it, etc. They're just cars at the end of the day. I can always buy another one later if lifestyle and situations suggest it makes sense but I figure the less crap I have to relocate with, the better.

I expect to make a little money on paper but when factoring in what I've put into them in terms of time, upgrades, etc. they'll be losses. Cars always are.

Its nice to know what they are worth but I am still somewhat in the dark on that. The way I see it is that I work too hard to get them, so I am going to enjoy them for as long as I can. Not selling anytime soon unless money is needed. My plan is to give it to my kids when they grow up. More like when they turn 60.

I'll be selling mine in the upcoming months. I'd like to hang onto it the most of all my cars but selling them is the right thing, as I have other needs now. Going to be upgrading homes and I want to pay cash for a brand new mid size truck and most of the wife's new ride. I envision a 997 or Cayman S in a couple of years.
