Note to self, choose original image size to avoid the mystery rotation.

fun race, not a Castroneves fan. nice to see the 911 "burn it down" Nascar style after their last race. Good finish for Long

Congratulations to Porsche going out on a high note . Hopefully they will return in a hyper car or similar . GTLM next year could be really ugly with two Corvette's and two BMW's with a rumor of BMW only running the endurance events.

Will be interesting to see if any of the Porsche factory drivers end up in GTD equipment like Pat Long .

I am curious. The Acura car sure looked like it was rear wheel drive. Does Honda even sell a rear wheel drive car? It sure ain’t a pickup or a suv. What car is the LM race car based on? I understand the prototype car is not based on a street car. But the other classes are supposed to be street car based right?

IMO, JPM is a dirty chicken sucker and should have his racing license suspended for a decade or three.
What a dick.

I read today that Proton Competition has purchased from Porsche the # 911 and 912 race cars . They plan on running at least one of them at the 24 Hours of Daytona with no other IMSA races planned . The cars will head to europe to run there .

That car is supposed to be a NSX? Wow, it looks nothing like a NSX.

Surely you're familiar with the current, "new and improved" NSX.

I like the original NSX a thousand times better... is this is the one you were thinking about?

OK, I guess that is it. The sales numbers are so low that $250,000 Ferraris are big sellers in comparison. No wonder I have never seen one. Just 170 sold in 2018, and 238 in 2019. Pretty exclusive club.

We had one owner with the old NSX come to our regional autocross and he was a great driver and made that car fly. It was fast.

Huh. Thought the first incident was racing, and then Derani just punted JPM off.

Really? Going out on a high note? Frankly, I'm fed up with the "Professional" Porsche Factory drivers, Vanthoor in particular. I know NASCAR owns IMSA, but that is no excuse for drivers to try and take out other team's cars by attempting shunts. Vanthoor should have been penalized with a "stop and release" instead of a drive-thru penalty when he tried to knock the #3 Corvette off the back straight during Petite LeMans. The #3's left tires were already riding on the left white stripe! Later, he tried the "square peg in a round hole" approach and took out the Acura driven by Townsend Bell.
Sebring was no better. I think it was either Tandy or Vanthoor who tried to force the #25 BMW of course in turn 17. It wasn't just one hit in the rear, it was multiple hits. They finally succeeded in taking out the #3 Corvette when Vanthoor dove deep into a turn and hit the #3 in the left rear quarter. #3 succumbed to the hit minutes later with failure in the left rear suspension.
Now Porsche is taking their bat and ball and going home. I truly love Porsche, but it's not blind love. What the "H" are they thinking? I suspect Corvette Racing will be putting their C8.R Z06 in GTD. I just makes sense to. What's Porsche going to do then? Everyone can't be winners ALL THE TIME. Corvette seems to get it, Porsche not so much.
