Some of these might be interesting to some of you...
Lots of different approaches to putting cars together. Jags, Lotus, AC Ace (or is that the Shelby assembly line?), Porsche, Packard.... (More) Vintage Photos of Factory Assembly Lines | The Car Build Index ![]()

Great link...thanks!
I am a bit of a factory nerd, having spent a lot of time in aircraft factories as a pilot and as a program manager in DoD. No place I'd rather be than on the factory floor.

The original assembly line where the Model T's were first made is still open for tours.

Luckily after 18 months I got retrenched and in desperation for a job I joined the Army. As it turns out that was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The only thing I did learn working on that production line was... What NOT to do for a living. For me it was seriously depressing work. You do the same task 300+ times a day and belive me that wears thin after a while. ..... Thank the sweet "Bejeezus" they sacked me.
