Adventures in Jaguar-Land...ALL kinds of cool!

Well, I waited a little bit to post until I took delivery of it. BUT...I was able to pick up a car I've been eyeing for quite some time now. Ahhh, the joys of being single.

Car has 42K original miles, 4 speed, factory A/C and factory power steering.

Here she is...newest addition to the fleet:

Dope. That's going to be my next classic too, but in a dark color like maroon or BRG.

Congrats.

4.2! I intentionally stayed away from the V12 for a host of reasons.

Congrats.
Primrose wasn't my first choice of color...I, too, prefer the dark colors. BUT...this thing is so exceptionally clean, and I looked at a ton of them, that I couldn't pass on it.

that car looks great you done good,
if it has any plastic see through fuel lines replace them before you run the engine.
Note replace them with rubber or teflon lines, the clear lines have a nasty habit of causing fires

It was the sight of an XKE coupe that began my long slippery slide into automotive depravity...

I was about 17 an knew absolutely nothing about cars. A fellow we were buying hay from had an open fronted tractor shed filled with hay, junk and something under a tarp. I asked what it was and when he said Jaguar XKE, I had no idea what he was talking about. He slid the tarp back, and there, sitting on four flat tires, was a white (white-ish as it was pig filthy) XKE coupe. I was absolutely flabbergasted and when he opened the bonnet, completely speechless at the sight of the V12 under the hood.

That was it. That was THE moment I became a car guy (gal).

What a beaut! Whatever color it is, it's a great find at 42K original miles.

Ditch the twin carbs and fit a UK sourced 3 carb setup with mainifold.
Yep the V12 was a terrible motor and part of the downward slide that Jag UK put themselves in...then there was the XJS

Nice score Mike.
I'm losing track of all your cars. You'll need to buy one of these when you get ready to move

Very nice, love the color. The E-type coupe is one of my all time favorite cars and one that I hope to own someday! In the meantime, I bought a '94 XJS convertible in Brooklands Green/Barley. At the moment that is as close as I can get to "the real thing"! Hope you enjoy your new ride!
