Yahoo mail down again - 3hrs and counting

Good lord, can this service be any worse?!?!

They seem to be the only ones who are baffled by the concept of 'email'.....lots of other services seem to perform just fine.

Anyone here still using this POS?

AND I'm paying for their premium service! LMAO!!!

rant complete.

Yahoo email was goofy for me all day as well... Ex: I'd send a msg, but my sent box would not have it, yet it was indeed sent.

Works for me.

I will say that the new yahoo mail format is just terrible. They took one of the best email platforms and absolutely ruined it. Stripped it of all the good features. Added advertisements all over the place. Made it sluggish and buggy. Then had the audacity to call it an upgrade.

This is so true.

The sluggish performance is hard to figure out.

Worse, email is now treated as a thread. Your "inbox" now has sent mail imbedded in the incoming. If you reply, then go back to the inbox, your reply is the first thing you see.

It is harder to sort.

Slower

And google plus is no better.

At least outlook has not been messed with.

Yet.

Am I the only one who is stuck on WinXP with classic view?

It's becoming worse than "one step back, two steps forward".
It's simply dysfunctional at this point.

Believe it or not its about 1,000x better than my Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) email. My wife just yesterday sent me an email from home to me at work about 50 miles down the road. I received it this afternoon - 28 hours later! Worst thing is - it happens quite often. When NMCI first came about it was the largest government contract ever awarded in history.

You can disable the thread-ing. Uncheck enable conversation in settings. I was really annoyed by this when they did the initial 'upgrade'

yahoo's other party trick is when you try to access it from a different computer... They ask for your security answers, which will *not* match. Then you are locked out for good... Happened to so many friends I can't count the times... Gmail is more reliable..

Now that I used to the 'conversation' format I like it. It took a while.

I've been very happy with Yahoo mail, 15+ years now. Over the past few days I've been getting "invalid password" errors when my phone tries to send email on this account but the does go out. So there is something weird going on.

In my experience their spam filtering is excellent. Certainly on par or better than any I've seen.

YAHOO IS THE WORST EMAIL SERVICE PERIOD

Unable to access but prompts to send a new p-word text to a pre-registered mobile phone. Locked out for 12 hours! Message never shows. Next prompt was requesting for additional help of which displays Yahoo's 800 customer support. Hooooooooooooooooooooooolding, then for their over abundance of customer calls, voice message says in case you get disconnected, please send us an email stating your problem. Dial toned. Moronic personal information whore's they are.

I have no issues. Aside from having to enter a code occasionally before it will send an email, which they say is 'anti-spam'...

I'm certainly no computer wizard but I've never had any serious trouble with my yahoo mail. I'll grant it was a bit simpler to look at a few years ago but I'm not ate up with our gmail account either.
