I don't know that Perez was thinking of passing Vettel. Reports indicate Perez braked early, which is consistent with the rear brake problems he'd complained about previously and not consistent with passing Vettel. Since I don't think Perez had any intent of passing Vettel, and it didn't look like he had any possibility of running into the back of him either, moving left only has one purpose.

Massa did appear to move right when compared with Perez but if you look at his position with respect to the edge of the road, he was just keeping a normal arc through the corner and leaving plenty of room for Perez. I've also heard that the Williams telemetry showed he braked a little earlier than normal, which isn't obvious from watching the video.

Given that the stewards had access to information we don't, I'm giving Massa the benefit of the doubt. Perex is an aggressive little guy. Just ask his old team mate...

I watched the race, first one I've watched in a long time. With the nose down near the wings the cars look like cars again. It was a great race. Maybe I'll start following F1 again.

+1000 on the lower noses make it sooo much better. The aerodynamic cut off under neath to the rear really cuts the car's downforce as well, and allows the cars to follow closer than they have in the past. Remove traction control, and its even better.
