No fuss on my account, but these are mandatory.

Bagpipes and drums. No canned music! Much single malt scotch.

Amazing Grace.

I wouldn't mind going out this way. Find a place somewhere near my birthplace in the Bay area....lay me out on a bed of kindling....and torch it. None of this wake business. Just me a few of me mates.

Since I'm a submariner, as I'm being lowered into the grave, I want 2 blast of the diving alarm followed by "DIVE DIVE" from from the preacher.

Wow, morbid topic, but since you asked. I've always found this song incredibly poignant, especially since it was written by a man who knew his death was imminent.

I'd like a really nice rendition of Ave Maria. This is a nice one;

I have nothing against the Scottish people, Except bagpipes. I do not understand the sudden appearance of the new fad of bagpipes at funerals for people with zero Scottish heritage.

With that said the Monty Python "Bright side of life" as the finale would be great at a memorial service. Maybe even the video from the movie.

I guess the Doors "the End" or the Betles "Revolution Number 9" from the white album might be wrong. :cool:

No kidding - it's bad enough that you're at a friends funeral, why turn it into a complete and utter sufferfest with these honking polluters?

(Baz, that is a nice gesture! You remember when I posted that on the Listening thread! Thank you.

For you, I'd offer up Knockin' on Heavens' Door, either Dylan or Zevon - either would be great!)
