Anyone into Koi in LA?
Have a friend in LA.
Needs to decommission his Koi pond. Has at least 7 that he is looking to adopt out. Let me know if interested and I'll make an introduction.

Shouldn't this be in the "What's for dinner" thread?

Lucky they are still alive. Coons ate all my little baby ones. I finally gave up. My kids were pissed.

He should contact the local fish/pond stores. When we moved I sold mine back to the aquarium store. Paid $7 or $8 for each and sold them back @ an average of $25 each. They had grown quite a bit.

my koi are spawning
started with 10 goldfish then added 10 koi to our pool now have about 50 goldfish and 30 koi in a 37 by 17 swimming pool soon to be far more as they are spawning at every water change this year I am removing the mops they lay eggs on to smaller tanks or a netted area in the pool to limit the eggs and new fry being eaten I have good luck with predators and only lost fish to bad water spawning frenzy's koi sex is very ruff as they bash the females to help release the eggs but I donot filter just change water often as we are unlimited in well water use in south fla link to a good koi forum Koiphen.com Last edited by nota; 06-12-2014 at 06:05 AM.. |
