My slate gray red interior '66 911 got featured in Excellence

Sorry to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty excited about it! Never had a car in a magazine before. I like the way Randy handled the whole Nazi connection with Porsche issue.

What an interesting article! I love the way the car became interwoven with the lives of it's owners. These are special cars.

When the name Jochen Peiper was mentioned one immediately knew it was the INFAMOUS NAZI War Criminal SS Obersturmbann Fuehrer of Das Liebstandarte Adolf Hitler Panzer Division (Hitlers Body Guard Division) that ordered the MURDER of UNARMED AMERICAN POW's...at Malmady during the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944 Peiper was one of the FOUNDING members of that SS Division when it was formed up by SS General Sepp Dietrich in the early 1930's.

"I was a Nazi and will always be one. The Germany of today does not have one great nation, it has become a province for Europe." Peiper in 1967 to a French writer.

He had a very nasty past, that's for sure. Unlike most ex-SS he didn't change his name and/or move to Argentina, and then had the stupidity to move to France of all places! He was asking to be killed.

Peiper wasn't the only ex SS at Porsche...amazing how taboo this topic still is even today. I'm glad Randy was able to talk about this in a tactful way.

One has long long ago elaborated on the fact that Dr Porsche was a Hitler favorite..

Most did not "go" to Argentina nor change their names....

Awesome car and article. I knew that Randy was a fantastic photographer, I did not know that he was such a good writer as well. Thanks for sharing with us.
