I see their workload and how they are on-call all the time. Difficult and stressful. I didn't want that for my future family so that's why I never chased a doctor. In fact, I was pre-med and switched to nursing after volunteered at a hospital and the Ronald McDonald House. Observed nurses spending much more time with the patients. Switched majors after that. Secondly, I probably can only recall about two doctors in my whole nursing career that I would be actually interested in anyway... |

I married a nurse (now a nurse practitioner). I'm not a Dr. and she's far from a gold-digger.

A LOT of nurses I know are married to insecure "project" guys that drain the life from them but they can't seem to see it.

I agree with that to a certain extent. You definitely have your "types" of nurses. There are the nurses who are very independent and strong women. Then you got the ones that are very sweet and caring but to a fault. They are the ones who usually end up with the "project guys". Then you got the nurses that heard nurses make good money and usually go into culture shock when they learn you actually have to work pretty hard to make that money and sometimes change strategy to land a doctor. Or you got the ones who straight up want to just get a doctor. |
