How do I trace the history of my 911S?
I know almost nothing about the history of my car. I bought it in Canada in 2003 and imported it. When I bought it I heard that it was owned by a German in the military and there are some names in the original service records book but I'm clueless as to how to trace back the history of the car and find information on these names. If it was a US car its whole life I imagine a title search would turn up some information but I believe that, under my ownership, this is the first time the car has been in the states. Anyone have experience with this?

Isn't there a 911s registry now? That may be the place to start.
The old original Kardex in 356 days not only detailed the build, but warranty work and ownership at the time that work was done. Then German privacy laws changed and that isn't available any more - even to original owners.
