Cool Happy 4th, my Black Powder Cannon says Howdy.

happy 4th, July to all lovers of freedom of independence day.

I'll light off my black powder cannon several times in the Pelican Spirit, and blame all you hoodlums for the noise.

.68 bore, 13" barrel, weight = ~60 pounds. Full cast iron wheels and everything.

Powder Specs in the video detail comments.

Yeah, It's a hoot to shoot.

Just found this......only $1,500!

Yard decoration or Parade Cannon

This cannon can be dry fired or used as a signal cannon.Laser dot sight not included.$1500 cash.Or trade for 0 turn mower.

I have a legal to shoot vulcan 30mm muzzle loader cannon on wheels and can be towed with a truck or car.1 mile range and is very accurate.(no projectiles included)Laser not included. It will be great to have for the 4th of july, new years, parades, home or neighborhood protection.Park it in your front yard as a deterrent to neighborhood thugs. This cannon shoots the same 30mm round as the A-10 warthog. It only shoots the projectile. It is a black powder percussion cap muzzle loader. The barrel is de milled from a military surplus A-10 warthog Gatling gun.I made a mold off a real projectile out of plaster and made my own projectiles out of lead. You can buy the de milled 30mm shells at gun shows or online. Then make your own mold and lead projectiles.I dont have any molds left, they were 1 time use.

Guess who supplies me with Black Powder?,

I'm down to "only" 2-3 pounds left, one weenie 35mm film canister at a time.

What's the totally cool part, is my Mom bought it FOR me, at a garage sale!

"you're not really going to shoot it are you?" she asked................

he heh heh.

An old highschool teacher of mine had a 2 1/4" bore cannon, Filled up pop cans with concrete and did civil war reenactments. They'd aim at bed sheets at 100 yards.

got too expensive to shoot that thing after a while.

cool stuff.

Thank you ChinaMan for using black powder what, the last 3500 years?

Got Fuse?

Helped a buddy build a cannon. 4140 bar bored to 1-11/16", about 28" long. It's mounted to a naval style carriage with screw elevation and traverse. Ignition uses a spring loaded hammer (rope actuated) and shotgun primers. The blast out the touch-hole re-cocks the hammer!

The bore was picked to shoot golf balls. we also made a mold to cast 1# lead balls - it's a one gage.

Fired my cannon today, had to make sure it works for the party at the lake tomorrow. Still need to make a base for it. It weighs 108 lbs, so one with wheels will be nice.
