LOL a lot of people around you have weapons on them every day and you don't realize it. Who cares? It's about personal protection. These people are not the ones you should worry about. They are the ones who will save your ass when a bad guy shows up.

It's certainly put the restaurant on the map. They say it's even being talked about on the other side of the world

It's called "Marketing", and someone did a great job.

Good for them.

If they wore guns at Twin Peaks, now you've got something.

Yeah, actually, not too far away. I've heard about it, but never been.

Yep

And I'm thinking, girls that are dressing cutely, but not necessarily in a uniform. It's nice when there's a little variety. It is after all the spice of life.

Gogar 07-04-2014 05:58 AM

Why do you keep describing twin peaks? :)

Nope, it is about why not. Because we can. It is called freedom. It is in the constitution.

While I heartily agree with the "why not" sentiment, and agree that the second amendment guarantees us a right that has been trampled, in this case, Glen, I disagree with your assessment. In this case, I personally believe the reason is "sales gimmick" and nothing more.

It's an angle that has purchased them free press and advertising, and national mention that a small restaurant in Colorado would otherwise never have.

The fact that some of them are nice to look at is a bonus that also feeds that attention they are getting. I don't think the sales gimmick of being armed would work half as well if it were 4 fat redneck guys like me.

I'm sure you're a damn handsome man...

at a Nascar race or wrestling match.

:D

Betcha there is zero a$$ grabbing going on in that place!

I am pro spoon all day long but also agree it is nothing more than a sales gimmick. Heck, look at hooters (as if I had to say that) bad food and overpriced beer... but super cute waitresses in "uniform"... national chain restaurant win!

aschen 07-04-2014 07:57 AM

Of course it's a gimmick, or good marketing Depending on your disposition.

I think these places are kinda silly. However there is a chain around here called bone daddies that does it well. The one in Austin has some good looking women and the food isn't terrible

Oh geez.......

aschen 07-04-2014 09:36 AM

I believe with my entire being that the constitution guarantees me the right.........................to gawk at skimpily clad waitreses that are half my age.

onewhippedpuppy 07-04-2014 09:44 AM

I also buy most of my gas at the station that has open carry attendants and a "concealed carry welcome" sign on the door. And they aren't even hot women.

on2wheels52 07-04-2014 09:59 AM

In the late 70's I thought a Blackhawk and a Bianchi western belt and holster would be neat to have while walking around in the desert. About an hour was enough. I expect the waitress will be going to something a bit lighter soon.

I understand some guys will like but it has zero appeal for me. I like the sexy waitress format though.

Around here we have Twin Peaks, Hooters, BoneDaddies, Red Neck Heaven, Big Racks, Tilted Kilt, Big Racks, and now a new one called Ricky Bobbies.

Steve Carlton 07-04-2014 10:21 AM

You've got two Big Racks? That sounds good!

flatbutt 07-04-2014 10:25 AM

I do wonder if the weapons are loaded and if the waitresses are trained.

Steve Carlton 07-04-2014 10:29 AM

Yes and yes. But don't you go in there loaded!
