The article says that the waitresses are to always keep there weapons holstered and safeties on and the weapons are in retention holsters.

What's free spirited about mandatory gun ownership? Sounds like government coercion. One of the big complaints about the ACA is that the government shouldn't force people to buy something they don't want. Apparently it should.

I agree.
The 2nd Amendment is an individual right - and each person should get to choose whether or not to exercise that right. You want or need a gun? Fine. Get one. You don't want one? Then don't. Government, big or small, should dictate neither.

I think it is a good idea for every family to own a firearm, but that is for the family to decide - not me. Not Uncle Sam.

One area that I would accept a little government intrusion: I feel that every person should be properly taught in the safe handling and use of firearms. Mandatory for everyone. It will make the public both safer and better informed.

I'm a strong advocate for responsible firearms ownership, and I strongly agree that mandatory ownership is no different than overreaching gun control measures. The government needs to stay out regardless.

Of course it's a gimmick, or good marketing Depending on your disposition.

I think these places are kinda silly. However there is a chain around here called bone daddies that does it well. The one in Austin has some good looking women and the food isn't terrible

Where is there a Bone Daddy's near The Woodlands? I've been in Dallas but didn't think they had one near Houston, let alone The Woodlands. Of course there is Twin Peaks but the night we went there the B squad was on staff.

I was joking the other day about a new place called 'Cooters', similar to Hooters but they have a Beaver as a mascot instead of an owl...

My wife didn't think it was funny.

^^
I got a chuckle out of it. My lady friend thinks it's hilarious. She wants to know where she can get a job application.

I don't think we have one here. My experience was with the one in Austin. I did a weekend buisness degree at UT a few years ago. My classmates always wanted to go. I hardly ever saw an B squaders there.

They seem like they go out of ther way to have a lot of variety: skinny ones, top heavy ones, short ones, fair ones, dark compection ones, etc

As I said im not really into these places too much though. I like 2 miles from a twin peaks and I have never been

My buddy had a very attractive lady friend that worked at hooters so for a while we frequented the joint... I suggested we open a place for competition called booters... but couldn't find any investors.

The young lady in question was also very high spirited (i.e. not afraid to tell you to F-off if she didn't like you) so eventually she got fired and we have moved on to other digs.

The closest to the Woodlands is Willowbrook. There's one in Webster on my side of town.

I haven't ever been to Twin Peaks or Bone Daddy's. I have been to Hooters, or course, They've been around forever and I'm from Tampa. I actually like their wings. I have been to the Flying Saucer downtown since I work downtown, but I don't really go to that kind of place. I don't go to tittie bars either. I bartended in tittie bars for almost 5 years in Houston.
