Question Shipping companies, who do you trust?

So, I couldn't find a thread with the words I was using. I found this thread on moving, but it was more ins related.

Moving to Southern California
Finalizing plans with my employer to relocate before Christmas (my 3rd by the way). I got quotations from Intercity, Reliable and Alpine Transport to ship the 911 and others to ship the company car
What companies would you trust? I need to ship my 911 and my BMW 2002 1,200 miles to SWFL soon. Our house in the Midwest just went under contract.

My 964 garage queen was shipped by Intercity Lines in an enclosed trailer. I was pleased.

I have been screwed by every single one. Choose the cheapest and insure fully.

I've used several of the big name car movers. Intercity several times (good), Thomas Sunday (horrible), Goldrush (horrible). Never used open trailer for my cars, and never will.
The only mover I will ever use now is Reliable. Worth every penny for the best service!

I've used Intercity many times, both as a buyer having the car delivered to me, and as a seller where the buyer used them to have the car delivered to them.

Never a single problem, glitch or excuse, every car delivered when promised. It's a family owned company and they always pick up the phone when you call.

I stopped using Intercity when they did not respond to my online quote request and did not return my call after talking to a rep to see when they could do a pick up.

After using them at least ten times I felt I deserved a little better service.

I've also heard a few Intercity drivers have left to drive for Reliable.

We have only dealt with Rich's Classic but he does a good job and has done many high dollar cars if that makes any difference. He is based out of Lincoln NE.

I used Alpine Transport on my west coast move. They got the car in NJ Wednesday night and arrived in LA Tuesday afternoon. Cost me $1700 enclosed. Great communications fr dispatcher and driver. I would use them again if needed.

Don't use U-ship. I had a great experience about 6 years ago on a Chicago to New Orleans car haul. Although, this was back when they first arrived on the scene. It's full of idiots and fly-by-nights now. U-ship's rating are about as valuable and accurate as Ebays.

I've used J&S Transport for shipping vehicles and was very satisfied with their service. They're not brokers...they run their own trucks but do contract out some jobs that're outside their normal routes. They picked up right on schedule, my car never left the truck while in route, I was able to contact the driver at any time, and they delivered the car exactly when they said they would.
