I have been wearing them in some form for over 20 years and would not be without them. Having said that, as mentioned they do not darken enough behind windshield glass so still need sunglasses. I have gone to high end clip-on sunglasses matched to and from the maker of my glasses frames. What is available today is not your grandpa's clip-ons but an excellent alternative to that extra pair of sunglasses. Do I still have a pair of prescription SG's too, you bet!!!

use them for daily use. but prefer rx sunglasses if outside for extended periods, mine take forever to darken inside.
