SIGN of the times...... you decide good or bad.
so i saw something that made me pause for just a second last night.
stopped to fill up on gas as i was on fumes...... jumped and out went to pump......... a quick glance at the pump.... then a double-take.... then another look and it got me thinking..... enough to take a picture and wonder, what the heck is going through that persons mind before/after they pumped their gas.....
maybe it's nothing...... who knows. seems like NOT that long ago, didn't even think twice about pumping gas......... kinda made me sad to be honest........ carry on................................. ![]()

An older dual sport or adventure bike and they were topping off for the week?
If it were here I would have said snowmobile.

Somebody is gouging on prices ... because they can ... as usual
.Price is below 3 bucks here for regular stuff.... I did leave a pump showing 4.00 on the total last week tho' ... needed 1 gal of 93 octane NON-ethanol so I went a penny over .

The other day I went out, saw the gas gauge, decided better safe than sorry.
Stopped, put in a similar amount. At 24MPG I knew it'd ensure I could get where I was going and back to have just that bit extra. I could fill up for realsies later. |

Lawnmower, powerwasher, motorcycle, other yard equipment?
Enough to make it to the cheaper gas station? I've done that.

The stations around here won't let you pump one octane and switch it to a diff octane without re-setting.
I typically fill my car with premium and the one gal can with regular. It forces me to reset and re-enter my card for the second fill....annoying.

Ive done that plenty of times.
I remember back when I worked in a Mobil station in the early 80s I think gas was around $1. 25 or so in NYC. People would come in and ask for like $ 1. 50 in gas. As I started pumping, they would root through there car seat and yell out the window " hey I found another 16 cents! ![]() Back in 2008 had to move stuff down to FL from NJ. Diesel was around 4.50 average. That was murder! .
