VW Cross Blue. Any Opinions?

  "Propulsion is provided by a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 190 horsepower TDI Clean Diesel Engine and two electric motors, one at the front making 54 hp (40 kW) and the other at the back with 114 hp (85 kW). Power is sent to all four wheels via an electric AWD system and a DSG dual clutch automatic gearbox. With the 9.8 kWh lithium-ion battery fully charged, the CrossBlue Concept can travel on just electricity for 14 miles (22.5 km/h) and returns 89 MPGe. In combined electric and diesel driving (hybrid mode), it offers a total range of 661 miles (1,064 km) and achieves 35 mpg. "

I would expect better than 35mpg out of a future TDI-electric hybrid.
The electric only ability is nice, but 14 miles is barely usable. Real world might drop to as low as 10 (AC or heater on, stereo, etc.). Wouldn't get me to work on electric only, much less there and back. |

I like this better than the Q7.
They could make it cool by building one in Tennesee with two doors.
