Electical code - repair question conduit to meter

i would dig up the conduit and see if can be raised up. then have the power company pull the meter base. raise the conduit and put the nut back on. then put dirt under the conduit to hold it up.
if the new owner wants a new meter base and all the other work, let them do it.

if you do this you should not need to get it inspected before the power company will put the meter base back on.


i repaired my old meter base one time. the new meter bases would not fit with my setup without a lot of work. since everything was still original it did not have to be inspected.

if i was buying i would want to do it myself and replace the meter base.


i put in a new meter base and 2 disconnects a few years ago. converted from overhead power to under ground. the power company provided everything up to the meter base.

The quote came back at $590. We've offered the buyers a small discount, and then they can get it fixed when they move in.

We are downsizing and moving from the suburbs into town (downsizing space, upsizing the bills). I will miss the most recent bookcase that I made. Unfortunately, since we'll be renting, I won't be able to make anything for the new place. No place to do the work and no time to do it before we move. I wish we had thought about that so I could build some bookshelves to take with us.
