What car would you buy from the year you were born?
This is a question posited in the latest edition of Hot Rod magazine.
It's hard to come up with a definitive answer, I see goodness in many, many cars.. I was born in '59. Let's see what's out there... First up, let's shoot the moon. Left nut? Sorry, but this just became available and you are out of here!.... ![]() Remaining Teutonic, much gentler and oh, so seductive... ![]() Still from the fatherland, but hey, I've got a sense of humor... ![]() I'd love to check out a pristine example of one of these (or a DS) - supposedly quite the feats of engineering, (albeit finicky and temperamental, mon dieu)... ![]() And of course, the red cars, smack dab in the classic era of red cars... ![]()

Did they have "Q" ships in 1959? If they did, well, they might have looked like this..
![]() Not my first choice, but not my last. ![]() Hawk! ![]() 300 - because they didn't make a 301 .... ![]() Best of all, it's a Cadillac ![]()

I can't think of a single car made in 1978 that I find desirable. Nothing American. Nothing Italian. Anything German has a later version that I like better.

Not in any particular order: Corvette-Big Block/4 speed GTO-389 Tri-Power/4 speed Mustang Fastback-289/4 speed Yeah, I know no Porsche on this list. I don't really dig the SWB cars.

There is only one car from 1979 that I would particularly want.

1991 was a pretty lame year for cars. But this'll do!
