Same on this car. I will probably have to pay 12 grand to get in it, but that's ok. :)

G

IIRC the national raffle they do every so often includes some cash to pay the taxes with

From reading the past few pages, it seems to me that I'm going to have to pay

$10,500 for 25% withholding,
$xxxx Local sales tax when I register (When I win the car it will be $3200. :) )
$ random registration fees.)

So, when I win the car :D It will be about $15K. Happy to do it! That's 180%.

Nice! I haven't been to Supercar Sunday in quite a while and this gives me a great excuse to pop over!

Take care,

The raffle is set for this Saturday evening, November 8th at QUEST, Louisville High School's annual fund raising event to be held at the Four Seasons Westlake Village.

https://louisvillehs.raffleready.com/lvhs-ferrari-scholarship-raffle

Any Pelicans local to the Four Seasons, Westlake Village, the 308 will be on display Saturday evening if you want to stop by and have a look.
The car is currently getting a final detail for it's big presentation.

The ticket will be drawn by Sister Myra McPartland after a brief tribute to
William (Bill) Schampeau by his late wife for his contribution to Louisville High School.

Good Luck to all and a big THANK YOU for your participation.

any chance they may open a few more?? SmileWavy

...I missed it the first time around (and I'm sure I'd win 'cause my wife would kill me;))

Interesting premise... wonder why more people don't do this just to sell their car. Say this was a private owner trying to offload his 308, if they sell all 750 tickets they will have raised $75,000. The Ferrari owner get's $50,000 ($8k over appraisal) and the school gets $25,000 for putting on a raffle.

They do, Mary Lafetra (Founder and owner of the Rain Bird Corp) gave a house to Azusa Pacific of which anything over $1.25M was theirs to keep. Meanwhile Mary was building a 5000 sq ft house just behind that one on the hill.

And the internet raffle company gets $1400+

Gogar 11-04-2014 03:23 PM

guess i better go clear out some space in the garage. And get my $14000 in taxes ready.

MBAtarga 11-04-2014 03:34 PM

No, don't bother clearing space. I've already got the single car space in my workshop free and clear. Just have to pay for transport of the car from CA to ATL.

Gogar 11-04-2014 03:42 PM

And your $14000 in taxes.

There was a winner last night......but not a Pelicanite.
Ellen Cooper from the San Fernando Valley was the winner and while she was not there in person, she received a surprise phone call !

Thank you all for your participation in helping make this a huge success. The scholarship fund raised over $ 100,000 in total from the the raffle and other generous contributions.

Gogar 11-09-2014 07:43 AM

Denis, you can buy my ticket. Just PM me. ;)

speeder 11-09-2014 07:46 AM
