2008 Boxster S trans ratios
I found the specs for the 2005 Boxster S 6-spd. Can anyone confirm that the 2008 is the same?
gear - ratio - top speed 1st - 3.67 - 40 2nd - 2.55 - 71 3rd - 1.41 - 103 4th - 1.13 - 128 5th - 0.97 - 149 6th - 0.82 - 170 diff ratio - 3.87:1

Do you have an owner's manual? I believe they are in the specs section.

Good thinking. I do have the owner's manual. I haven't gotten a chance to go through it yet. I did go through a pdf version that I found online and didn't lee it, but that may not be complete. Thanks, I'll check it out later.

The gear ratios are in the back of the owner's manual.
2008 Boxster S 6 speed manual trans mission gear ratios according to the owner's manual gear - ratio - top speed 1st - 3.31 - 43 2nd - 1.95 - 73 3rd - 1.41 - 104 4th - 1.13 - 128 5th - 0.97 - 149 6th - 0.82 - 170 (top speed is based on an acceleration graph and converting from kph to mph so it's as close as I could get) final drive ratio 3.875:1 It looks like where I previously found the number for 2005 are close, but not quite. The speed per gear are probably correct, but the gearing looks off. It looks like they used the base boxster 6 speed gearing, but entered it with a typo for 2nd gear instead of using the boxster S gearing. Boxster 6 speed manual 1st - 3.67 2nd - 2.05 3rd - 1.41 4th - 1.13 5th - 0.97 6th - 0.82 Boxster 5 speed manual 1st - 3.50 2nd - 2.12 3rd - 1.43 4th - 1.09 5th - 0.84
