I rcvd an email from stating; "check your C drive for a file with a teddy bear logo and the name jdbgmgr.exe otherwise in about two weeks your system will be damaged."
I checked mine and it was there. I simply changed the file extention from ".exe" to ".txt" just make it inert, and viewable. Internally it says " F i l e D e s c r i p t i o n M i c r o s o f t ® D e b u g g e r R e g i s t r a r f o r J a v a " . . . though, Microsoft usually doesn't write such compact code. But still it could just be another hoax. Edit: yep, another hoax . . at least on the jdbgmgr.exe.

My company just got with with BUGBEAR. All network attached printers were printing pages and pages of garbage until they ran out of paper, or someone varied them offline.
Someone out there doesn't like trees.... -Z.

This virus only hits those who are running windows with less than IE 5.5 sp2. If you have that you are safe from this one. As much as I hate IE (reasons to long for this board, and those who need to know already do) it has its fingers into so much of the OS that you need to keep it up. And then install Mozilla.
This is just another case of the sysadmins not keeping up with the patches.

Would this virus crash your computer so it won't even do the start up?? Yesterday it was fine, but this morning my work computer would not go past the Windows 98 page. The computer tech is supposed to get to it in a day or two. Who knows...maybe I got a virus from someplace else. I better stop pulling up people's porsche links!
